Meet the Judges:

Gina Ehikodi

General Manager, WapTv; show host Foodies and Spice, WapTv

Gina Ehikodi is the General Manager, WapTv, a position she assumed in July, 2012 and also the beautiful host of the scintillating and creative cooking program, Foodies and Spice currently running on WapTv.

Having previously worked as Head, Legal and Corporate Development, Virtual Media Network, producers of Nigezie and Orisun, and also as Marketing Media Executive, The Juke Company, owners of  Global Sounds, Gina still finds time to produce, direct, write scripts and is an avid blogger.

Gina, a multi-linguist (Yoruba, Ibo, West African Pidgin, fair French and beginners Chinese) is an inexhaustible corporate event planner, and talented artiste manager,

Olaegbe David Olatunbosun

Managing Director, Producer; Genesis Studios

Olaegbe David Olatunbosun, an alumnus of Media Enterprise, SMC – Pan African University, is the C.E.O. and of Genesis Studios.

A seasoned film professional with over 16years experience, he has produced and directed several TV programs for local TV stations and foreign agencies, including the award-winning drama series So Wrong, So Wright, Tales of Eve, and the popular youth show, Chat Street.

Executive Producer at Genesis Studios, he has been Director of Studio Services at Studio 1 Creations, and Wale Adenuga Productions.

Olaegbe David Olatubosun is at the forefront of New Age Nigerian Film Producers.

Bolaji Dawodu

Director; Wale Adenuga Productions Limited, BOD Productions

Bolaji Dawodu is a foremost Director with over 30years experience in the Nigerian film and television industry.

A graduate of Theatre Arts, University of Ibadan, and Television Techniques at NTA Television College, Jos, Mr. Dawodu has directed award winning films and television programs, such as Superstory, ThisLife, Papa Ajasco and company amongst so many others.

Currently a director with Wale Adenuga Productions Limited, he also serves as the helmsman at BOD Productions, and is a member of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, DGN.

With his astounding and immense contributions and innovations, Bolaji Dawodu has influenced the styles of film and television directing in Nigeria today.

Meet the Judges:

Pierre Cherruau

Regional Audio-visual Attaché, Consulate General de France
Pierre was born into journalism, with his father, also called Pierre, and mother, being celebrated journalists. Pierre Snr also ran his own newspaper, Le Cheval de l’Ouest.
As a secondary school boy at Bordeaux’s Lycée Camille Jullian, Pierre published his first newspaper at age 11.
Pierre would later study concurrently at the Sciences-Po and the Université de Bordeaux, where he studied law. He then enrolled for a DEA in History while studying at the University of Wolverhampton in the English Midlands.
He later returned to France to enrol at the Centre de Formation des Journalistes, the best journalist school in France.
Soon after his graduation in 1993, he travelled to Enugu, Nigeria to assume the post of the Alliance Française Director.
From working as Le Monde’s correspondent in Benin Republic, he also went on to participate at the launch of the weekly, L’Autre Afrique in 1997.  
In 2011, he launched the African edition of slate.com in French, which he edited for three years and moved on to work briefly for the Radio France Internationale web site (RFI.FR), from where he got his present job as the Regional Audio-visual Attaché at Consular Generale de France in Lagos.

 

Steve Sodiya

C.E.O; Nukoncept Studio

Surprisingly from an engineering background, Steve Sodiya, Chief Executive Officer of NuKoncept Studios can handle almost all computer-based equipment, from assembly, usage, to repairs and training.

 

A Computer Science graduate from Yaba College of Technology, Steve went ahead to study Film Production at ITPAN.

 

Having recognized Editing as being the main core of post production, he works basically on world leading editing software for film and sound editing, visual effects, color corrections, grading and final cut.

As a technical director on the field, managing and supervising productions for top quality both in pictures and sound, Steve has a track record of being the first to handle any new groundbreaking technology e.g. tapeless technology seamless workflow and DCP (Digital Cinema Package) which until now could only be achieved abroad.

Steve Sodiya has worked on feature films such as Kunle Afolayan’s The Figurine and Phone Swap, Tunde Kelani’s Maami, Wale Adenuga Production’s The Perfect Church; MTV Base’ television series Shuga and a documentary, Face of Change.

 

Ever playing with new revolutions and ideas on how to push the industry forward, Steve Sodiya believes that training and expanding the industry via technology and creativity, is the main driving force.
