NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PROGRAMS

Introduction: 

 

The National Diploma (ND) is a Federal Government designed and Approved Diploma program which is also run through a Public-Private-Partnership (P.P.P) between the Federal Ministry of Education through the National Board for Technical Education (N.B.T.E.), and Innovation Enterprise Institutes (I.E.I). 

 

The ND program runs for 2 years on a full- time basis, or for a maximum of 5 years on a part-time basis. During this period, the participants acquire Relevant, Innovative, Industry-Specific Technical knowledge, Skills, Attitudes and Experiences, based on a minimum of 70% Practical Learning Content.

 

PEFTI Film Institute ND Programs:

The Federal Ministry of Education through The National Board for Technical Education (N.B.T.E) has awarded PEFTI Film Institute Accreditation to offer National Diplomas in the following courses:

  • Film and Television Production
  • Performing and Media Arts
  • Music Technology

 

EXTRAS: 

All ND Students will also learn following:

 

A. Communication in English: Includes

  • How to write Proposals
  • How to make Business Presentations(Present Your Ideas and Projects).

 

B. Entrepreneurship: Includes

  • How to Start & Manage a Business
  • How to write Business Plans

             

 Entry Qualifications For ND Programs: Choose 1 Option

 Option A: ND Program Entry through  J.A.M.B

UTME Score (100 & above) + O/Levels (2 sittings max)                                                           OR

Option B: ND Program Entry without J.A.M.B.      N.D. / N.C.E. / H.N.D. / B.Sc. / B.A.

 

 

 

FILM AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION 

 

GOAL:  Produce Professional Filmmakers grounded in African culture, versed in Global cultures and modern trends, who excel in all fields related to Filmmaking, and TV production

 

OBJECTIVES: A graduate of Film and Television Production will be able to:

Write and Direct Films, TV & Internet productions

Produce Film, TV & Internet productions

Operate Cameras, Lights and Sound Equipment used in Films, TV, and Internet Productions

Prepare, Costume and Make-up Talents, Celebrants

Edit Films, TV and Internet Productions

 

CAREER OPPORTUNTITIES FOR FTP GRADUATES:

Screenwriter: Film, Television, Internet

Filmmaker, Content Creator, Producer

Cinematographer: Video Coverage for Weddings, Parties, Corporate Events, Religious Activities

Photographer: Wedding, Portrait, Fashion, Sports, Food, & Architectural Photography, Photojournalism

Make-up Artiste: Straight / Beauty, Theatrical

Video Editor

Director: Film, Internet, Radio

 

 

  PERFORMING AND MEDIA ARTS

 

GOAL: Professional Artistes grounded in African culture, versed in Global cultures and modern trends, proficient in Dance, Drama, and Music, in Theatre, Film, TV, Events, Online, and New Media. 

 

OBJECTIVES: A graduate of Performing and Media Arts will be able to:

Act, and Present, in African and Western, Theatre, Films, TV and Internet Productions 

Dance and Choreograph, in African and Western, Theatre, Films, TV and Internet Productions

Design, Make and Procure Costumes and Make-Up (Beauty, Run-Way, Special Effect)  for Talents, Celebrants, and Corporate Clients

Write and Direct Theatre productions

Produce Theatre, Film, TV and Internet Productions

 

CAREER OPPORTUNTITIES FOR PMA GRADUATES:

Script Writer: Stage, Film, TV, Internet, Radio

Content Creator, Producer: Film, Stage, Internet, Radio

Actor: Film, Stage, Internet, Radio

MUSIC TECHNOLOGY

 

GOAL: Professional Musicians grounded in African culture, versed in Global cultures and modern trends, skilled in Vocals, Music Notation, Music Instruments, and Studio Production. 

 

OBJECTIVES:  A graduate of Music Technology will be able to:

Compose and Read Music in various genres and styles

Sing, Voice Training

Play Musical Instruments

Produce Musical Albums.

Artiste Management
