PEFTI FILM INSTITUTE NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PROGRAMS
 
Introduction: 
The National Diploma (ND) is a Federal Government designed and Approved Diploma program which is run through a Public-Private-Partnership (P.P.P) between the Federal Ministry of Education through the National Board for Technical Education (N.B.T.E.), and Innovation Enterprise Institutes (I.E.I). 
 
The ND program runs for 2 years on a full- time basis, or for a maximum of 5 years on a part-time basis. During this period, the participants acquire Relevant, Innovative, Industry-Specific Technical knowledge, Skills, Attitudes and Experiences, based on a minimum of 70% Practical Learning Content.

The Federal Ministry of Education through The National Board for Technical Education (N.B.T.E) has awarded PEFTI Film Institute Accreditation to offer National Diplomas in the following courses:

FILM AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION 

GOAL:  To produce technically competent manpower to meet the National requirements in the areas of Film and Television Production.
 
OBJECTIVES: A product of ND in Film and Television Production will be able to:
  • Write and Direct Professional Films
  • Produce Professional Films
  • Operate Cameras, Lights and Sound Equipment used in Film and Television Production
  • Prepare, Costume and Make-Up Actors
  • Edit technically-sound Films and Television Productions.
 
 
 
PERFORMING AND MEDIA ARTS
 
GOAL: Produce Technicians and Artistes with Practical,Technical, Management and performance Skills, who should understand the Nature and purpose of Dance, Drama, Music and Media as creativity and technology for consumption by both public and Private Sector enterprises, as well as international audiences and consumers.
 
OBJECTIVES: A product of ND in Performing and Media Arts will be able to:
  • Act, Present and Dance in African and/or Western, Live and/or Multi-Media Productions
  • Plot, Design, Make and Procure Costumes and Make-Up (Beauty, Run-Way, Special Effect)  for Actors, Presenters and Dancers in any Live and/or Multi-Media Productions.
  • Write Plays
  • Produce live and Multi-Media Productions for Public and Private Organizations in the Film Industry for Academic, Private and Public Sector use
  • Package, Manage and Market Performances and Shows
 
 
MUSIC TECHNOLOGY

GOAL: Produce technically competent diplomats in Music,and meet the National requirements in the areas of Musical Arts,Education and Practices,and win prizes in the Public and Private Sectors of the     economy.
 
OBJECTIVES:  A product of ND in Music Technology will be able to:
  • Compose and Read music in various genres and styles,within the context of socio-cultural values, and musical traditions in Music Production.
  • Employ Creativity and Professionalism as an Instrumentalist and/or Singer.
  • Fabricate and maintain basic Musical instruments
  • Establish a Solo or Chamber Musical outfit,and Organise musical performances.

DIGITAL FILM MAKING: CINEMATOGRAPHY

For all our professional courses you either register for six months training or you register for three months intense program. Both three and six months programs are the same thing. The only diffrence is that in three months intense program lectures end by 4pm while in six months program lectures end by 12noon.

There are two sessions annually for three months intense program, they are: April and October. Also, there are two sessions for six months program, they are: January and July. You can register any time ahead of any session.
